Goat Cheese Stuffed Blossoms with Truffle Honey
π― GOAT CHEESE STUFFED BLOSSOMS w/ TRUFFLE HONEY π―
Another summer, another stuffed blossom recipe.
Ingredients:
Squash blossoms
Goat cheese
Honey (for filling)
Truffle honey (for drizzling)
Salt and pepper
Neutral oil for frying (I used avocado)
Flaky sea salt for garnish
For the batter:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup club soda
Directions:
Start by letting your goat cheese get to room temperature. Mix together with a little salt and pepper and small spoonful of honey (normal honey β not the truffle honey!). We do not want this to be too sweet or overpowering. So just a touch of honey. You can blend this in a food processor instead of hand mixing for it if you prefer. Transfer mixture to a ziplock bag and pipe a small amount into each blossom. Goat cheese is nice and creamy and rich so a little goes a long way. You can βtwistβ the top of the blossoms to prevent the filling from falling out.
Whisk together all batter ingredients. Lightly toss each blossom in it.
Heat a pan with oil and once hot, lightly fry the blossoms. Transfer to a paper towel to blot excess grease.
Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with truffle honey and flakey sea salt. Enjoy!
