Pigs in Blanket
Homemade piggies in blanket!
Easy, simple, cutie little upgrade from the storebought version.
Ingredients:
Hotdogs (I used applegate farms but also reco hebrew national)
Frozen croissant OR crescent rolls
1 egg
Sesame seeds (optional)
Cut each hotdog into 3. I slivered off the ends so each mini dog looked identical.
Roll out dough (again, I used croissant dough — found it in the frozen section at my whole foods). Use flour if it’s sticky. Slice into thin strips.
Wrap dough around each mini hotdog and pinch the bottom to seal.
Whisk egg in a bowl then lightly brush onto the dough. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min or until golden brown.
*These store well — you can make a day ahead and reheat in the oven before serving!
