Kitchen Registry
AHHHHH!!! I have been meaning to put something formal together for SO LONG! I have had a kitchen registry at Crate and Barrel and Sur La Table since I was 21 and moved into my first NYC apartment (although if you read my bio, you know I cooked like twice the entire time I lived there).
Take the below as a working and ever-evolving document. I will better organize in time but for now, HERE YA GOOOO!
Also, here is my Amazon Storefront which links kitchen essentials and basics + additional lists for bougier kitchen upgrades. Shop the list here.
The below items mostly link out to either Crate and Barrel or Williams Sonoma out of sheer convenience. For many items like a microplane or spatula, I recommend finding cheaper options, versus cookware which I really do advocate for some of the more premium brands like All Clad, Staub, and Le Creuset.
Appliances:
QUALITY Salt & Pepper Grinders [you want to be able to adjust coarse level]
KitchenAid Mixer [‘cheaper’ of the bunch!]
Food Processor/ Immersion Blender - we love our SET
Legit Juicer [they take up a LOT of space and are pretty annoying to take apart to clean and re-assemble. IMO, the JUICE is not worth the squeeze unless you are vegan or heavily reliant on making your own juices at least 2-3x per week].
Mini Juicer [I have this and use it all the time - so compact and easy. Good for single serve].
Tools + Staples:
Silicon Spatula (eggs/baking)
Plastic cutting board (OXO)
Salad spinner (OXO)
Rolling pin [I like the weight of marble, helps me roll!]
Pots + Pans
SAFE Non stick [I do not use Teflon]
Knives: your basics 3 knives that you must have are … pairing knife, serrated knife, chef’s knife. I like the set from Material Kitchen! Great quality and price point. More expensive options below:
Pairing knives [I like a mix of ceramic + stainless steel]
